While the lines keep me up as I try to stay quiet.

As I try to sort my tangled mind and say something worthwhile.
As I look through myself and try to fill the pages.

As I hold on to something that is lost, that never was mine.
And the dark exaggerates the matter, by the light that catches in my hair.

I like it when you sleep,
For I like not knowing - what to feel -
For it all comes together at once, then slips through my fingers.

I like it when you sleep,
As I can dream up reality at night, and delude myself into thinking I'm right.

I like it when you sleep,
And it feels as though I might figure life out, and yet know nothing at all.
